MARS FISHCARE ERECTS AQUARIUM AT NURSING HOME
Mars Fishcare to erect a fresh water aquarium for residents at
Neshaminy Manor in Warrington, PA
Chalfont, PA — Mars Fishcare, North America Inc. (formerly Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Inc.), is pleased to announce that a group of our Associates will participate in a community service event to set-up a fresh water aquarium that will benefit patients with dementia at Neshaminy Manor in Warrington, PA. The aquarium set-up will take place at Neshaminy Manor (1660 Easton Road, Warrington, PA 18976) on Tuesday, October 7th starting at 7 PM.
Neshaminy Manor is a non-profit nursing home that offers skilled and sub-acute care for both short and long-term stays. Located in Bucks County, the facility has 360 beds and provides continuous physical, emotional and spiritual support for its residents. “The addition of this tank to our Dementia unit will positively impact our residents everyday promoting cognition, sensory stimulation, and relaxation. This generous community service initiative will assist Neshaminy Manor everyday in our goal to allow each person to maintain their highest level of functioning. We can’t thank Mars Fishcare of Chalfont and Pets Plus of Horsham enough for their contributions to our facility”, stated Evelyn Kozlowski, Administrator of Neshaminy Manor.
Associates from Mars Fishcare will embrace this team building event for several reasons. “It’s an opportunity for all of us to come together and work as a group on a project that is related to our industry. But more importantly, it will give patients that suffer with dementia something beautiful to enjoy daily, which will have a calming and relaxing effect, stated Peter Struble, Director of Sales and Marketing for Mars Fishcare.
This event is made possible by the generous contributions of both Mars Fishcare (Chalfont, PA) and Pets Plus USA (www.petsplususa.com - Horsham, PA). Pets Plus USA is a local pet store chain in the Philadelphia region. Ray Arabia from Pets Plus has graciously donated the aquarium, stand and related decorations and substrate for this event. Mars Fishcare will be contributing all the necessary RENA® equipment (air pump, filter, heater, etc.) along with all of our essential API® treatment and medication products to ensure successful fish keeping.
